Today Jasper found his little guitar (which is horribly out of tune).
Jasper: I found my guitar!
Gus: Sing Old MacDonald.
Jasper: I'm going to sing you that song.
Gus: Sing about a pig!
Jasper: OK, I'll sing about a pig.
Jasper: (strumming) Old MacDonald had a farm, e-i-e-o. Agh! I don't know the rest!
(After some discussion, Jasper agrees to sing a different song, which he learned at preschool.)
Jasper: Are you ready gus? You get to pick an animal. Which one do you want to pick first?
Gus: Umm, Ummm...
Jasper: Raise your quiet hand! Raise your quiet hand!
(Both boys raise their hands)
Gus: The Pig!
Jasper: Come and see my farm, it is so beautiful... (continues singing)
Gus: (runs to Sarah): Mommy, let's go to the zoo!!
Jasper: Can I bring this guitar to the zoo? I think all of the animals will sing to me if I bring my guitar!
Gus (running around the room in circles, shouting): Mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy! Yes, yes yes! Mommy, mommy, mommy!
