This is actually a couple months old, but this is a letter the boys dictated (ok, that Adam pulled out of them over an hour) to Sarah when she was on a trip in DC.
G: I play
with a ping balls. I put into and it goes up and down shhhh, where the air
coming out. I play ball to, I push a button, shhoo, air came out. A ping balls go up up up down down down in that
box. [note: they did not go to the childrens museum today so this is vivid but
totally false]
J: we
went to Pump It Up (a place with inflatable slides & bouncy houses). when
you got in, there was anot a ball pit. and we went on each step and I was so
scared.
[What did they have at pump it up? can't
answer b/c Gus is feeding him mac and cheese, and passing Gus's spoon back and
forth].
G: we're
both sharing the mac and cheese. here here here.
J: here
here here. Do you want to put some mac and cheese in here? (holding out Gus's
spoon to Gus to fill it up for Jasper). Eat it gus, you're supposed to eat!
G: I
paint!
J: well,
pump it up is a place that had slides. There's one just trail that has air in
it and you climb across the trail and come to tbe big place with stair steps
that have little balls you can step on and then there was just a little wrope
and then you just grab a handle and then you just pull yourselfup, stepping
stepping stepping on each step.
G: I do a
magic trick! It has abracadabra!

have a bouncy house?
J yes
they have one two
G I play
ball with a poke. At the Park. I bounce a ball. [feeling mac & cheese:]
it's too hot, never never touch

J:
[pointing to gus], tell me what you saw at the beach today this morniing.
G I saw a
starfish
J was it
moving and scary?
G I saw
bats, it scare me

fish

G I saw
monkeys. They climbed up up up and a gorillas
G the
duck go jumping out in the water. A fish jumping out in the water, out a water!

anthing else you want to say to mommy?
G: all
done, all done, all done, I get you I get you, I'm a moster, I'm a monster, I
get you daddy
J: I love
you mom! I want to tell you about all my submarine friends.
