Jasper has decided that he is Jay Jay the Jet Plane. (A character from a PBS show that he got to watch a few weeks ago when he was sick.) He carries this to extremes:
"I need some fuel!" (I'm hungry)
"You hurt my wheel." (After someone injured his foot.)
"I'm going to spill my oil." (I need to pee.)
Also, Jasper has now been potty trained for about 3 weeks. We keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, but, so far, it's been great!
Gus has been having a hard time sleeping lately, and we've fallen into one of those slippery slope traps, where, after we lay him down, he stands up and says, "Just hug you!" or "Just kiss you." He took it a step further, recently, "Just kiss you!" The other day he said, "A big kiss, a big kiss." Then after he got his big kiss, he said, "A litle kiss, a little kiss." Needless to say, this was not conducive to sleeping, and we've had to make a rule against any hugging or kissing after one enters the crib. (We do a lot of hugging and kissing prior to bedtime to make up for it, though!)
Another funny thing about Gus these days, he's gotten very particular about his beverages. He likes warm milk, but then recently started to distinguish between soy milk and cows milk. So when he orders his milk up these days, he'll ask for "Warm soy milk," or "Cold cow's milk." Today Gus actually asked for "Warm water."
