This morning, Jasper says, "Mommy Smokey, Mommy Smokey!" Apparently that is my new title. He then says, "Mommy Smokey, can you bring the things so I can not burn down the house again. Like the fire hoses?" I should note that Smokey is a popular pig firefighter from Richard Scarry books, and Jasper has never actually burned down the house at all.
Gus on the other hand is talking with ever-clearer enunciation. Today we were looking at a toy, and Gus said, "Backhoe" (which has been his all-purpose word for all work machines for a while now). I corrected him, "Well, actually, that's a power shovel." And Gus then said, "Power Shovel" for the first time ever!
