The other night Jasper asked at dinner, "Do we eat sea creatures." Adam and I looked at each other, then I slowly answered, "Yes, Jasper, we do eat sea creatures." Adam says, "Now I kind of wish we didn't, though."
It was part of a larger conversation, which started as a joke about what was for dinner, that went roughly like this:
Jasper: "Do we eat trees?"
Response (laughing): "No, silly!"
Jasper (laughing): "Do we eat snails?"
etc.
Jasper: "Do we eat fish?"
Response (game over...): "Well, yes, we actually do eat fish."
Jasper gets serious. "Do we eat sea creatures?"
