At 22 months, Jasper's talking is picking up a notch. A few choice quotes/stories:
* Coming across a train engine, Jasper can't quite remember the word for locomotive (or perhaps conflating it with another word), he says, "Smoke-a-motive!"
* Sitting in the back seat of the car while it's raining out, Jasper bursts into, "It's raining it's pouring, the old man is snoring..." completely unprompted, and then follows it up with "Rain, rain, go away, come again another day."
* Driving past the library, he looks out the window, and says, every word perfectly articulated, "I want to go to the library."
* His first temper tantrum consists of screaming, "I want more books! Want more books!" (For about an hour, unfortunately.)
* Quoting from his favorite book, he says, "Every nook and gully." (Or evewy nook and guwwy."
* We just started with a woman who speaks Spanish to them a couple of times a day; he spends pretty much the entire time correcting her - she says the word in Spanish, then he says, "No! It's a ____" in English.
* Sings happy birthday to Kittyman. (Just a great song, I guess.)
* There are a few words he doesn't have quite right, though. "Spicy" defines all food that makes him uncomfortable, including food that is too cold, or bubbly water. "I'm brave," means "I want to be picked up." And "It's Safe!" means he can't reach it and needs you to help him get it.
