First taste of Chocolate

Chocolate is one of those foods that babies aren't supposed to eat until they're at least one. So, we got Jasper a chocolate cupcake for his birthday celebration. Verite, the coffee shop down the block, makes terrific cupcakes including small ones they call Baby Cakes. So enjoy this clip of Jasper tasting his first chocolate, by far the sweetest thing he's ever tasted.

Max

As many of you know, we're expecting our second baby boy on April 21st. Given that we still refer to Jasper as 'the baby' we've taken to calling our next boy 'Max' to reduce confusion. (Don't get attached to the name, it's unlikely to last!)  We've put up two new ultrasound photos of Max at this link.

Jasper is One! And Lots of New Photos!

Jasper is now one year old, which is very exciting for us. He's not really sure what the fuss is all about, but BOY does he like cake and ice cream!

We've posted some new photos up in our 7-12 month album, including a few photos from our trip to Mexico; there are also some photos from when Marc and Jo came to visit and we went to Port Townsend. Click here to see the 7-12 month album new photos.

We've also started a new album as of his first birthday - these photos are mostly from his FIRST HAIRCUT which was a very exciting outing. Jasper's favorite part, to be honest, was that he got to play with the train set after the haircut was over. Click here to see the new photos from his 1+ album. Snowshoeing with Jasper & Marc

Over the holidays Marc and Jo joined us at Cynthia & Rick's house in Port Townsend. One day we drove up to Hurricane Ridge to go snowshoeing and give Jasper his first experience with snow. There are pix to the right that are more representative of the trip, but here's one funny moment caught on tape.

Bathtime with Jasper

Jasper LOVES his bath. He'll wander into the bathroom and stand next to the tub saying "Ba, Ba." If you actually turn on the faucet, he starts vibrating with glee and immediately starts trying to climb in. Here are a few moments from a recent bath.
