So Monday this week was a very existing day. All in one day:
1) Jasper got his first cold - the first time he's ever been sick. So sad! More on this below.
2) Jasper waved goodbye for the very first time. So cute!
3) Jasper pushed himself up on his hand and kneeds (just a little bit) and started scooting around the floor for the very first time ever! (He mostly can only go backwards, and he doesn't really understand what he's doing very well, so it's still a work in progress.)
It was kind of amazing to have all of these things happen on the same day. Three days in, he's still scooting, still waving, and, sadly, still sick!
He has an excessively runny nose - and the poor baby can't even blow his nose, so he ends up with just oodles of snot running down his face (we try and keep it clean, but it's hard!), lots of sneezing out big gobs, and the other night it even ended up in his hair after he rolled around in it in his bed. He also has a little cough and a small fever.
The amazing thing is that he's kept up his angelic happy personality through all of it. He doesn't fuss more than normal, he smiles a lot, he only cries when we use a bulb to suction the snot out of his nose (honestly, who wouldn't be bothered by that?). He's had some trouble sleeping well, so we're all ab it more tired than normal, but, I suppose as first illnesses go, this isn't bad.
