Video Tuesdays: A Day in the Life

Jasper's sleep habits have been kind of crazy--two nights ago was one of his worst nights ever, when he was up every hour or two. Then last night, inexplicably, he slept from 7:30 pm til 4:30 am, and then went back to sleep til 7:30 am. The other great thing is that he's taking the bottle finally (actually, a sippy cup). Here's a short video of a typical day in Jasper's life.

Video Tuesdays: Belly laughs and chubby knees

We spent most of last week in Boston, which was pretty difficult. Jasper was stressed out by the unfamiliar circumstances and we didn't have any of the gear on which we rely, like the exercise ball to bounce him on. We also spent a lot of time in the car, which he suddenly hates, and he also started the early stages of teething. So rough week, and we were all happy to get home. Jasper was much more relaxed when we arrived home--see for yourself.

Video Tuesdays: Bathtime

Bathtime in our house is a blast--Jasper goes bananas. It's definitely his favorite activity. Check out the videos below, as well as new pictures up here.

In other news, we've been working hard to teach Jasper how to use a bottle this week. Actually, he no longer takes a bottle at all, so we've been teaching him to drink from a sippy cup. It's exhausting--takes an hour of him playing with the cup and chewing on it to get 3 minutes of actual drinking. But it does mean that Adam can take him on adventures without having to rush home after a couple hours so Sarah can feed him.

Video Tuesdays: Baby Talk

We hang out a lot with Anna and Beth, two friends from our childbirth class who leave nearby. Their daughter, Sylvia, spends a lot of time with Jasper. She's a month older than Jasper and is really into him, as you can see hear in the video below. As part of his 3-month growth spurt, he's just really noticing other babies for the first time. So we caught this footage of the two of them flirting. Sylvia is more forward, as the older woman, while Jasper kind of plays hard to get.
